* The Carnival period is a special occasion. Zante’s carnival is famous throughout Greece and attracts many visitors. The events programme is always characterized by creative and widely entertaining ideas, focused mainly on dance, theatre and singing events. The last week-end of the Carnival period features a colourful parade and a lot of partying.
** Easter is the most important holiday in Greece and is celebrated throughout the country. Zakynthos is quite special in that its customs differ from those in the rest of the country.
